The road is full of distractions. Billboard advertisements, neon business signs, people, animals and other drivers can all divert a driver’s attention and lead to a car accident. But perhaps the biggest distractions come from drivers themselves. A new study has shown that students admitted to talking, texting, emailing and even watching movies while driving.
This attitude is unfortunately not unique to these students. Drivers across the country, including those in California, are becoming more and more comfortable talking and texting while driving. Though many feel competent dashing off a text message from behind the wheel, these acts often lead to negligent driving which results in car accidents. Such accidents can cause severe injury or death and can lead to a lifetime of medical and financial troubles for all involved.
